These grapes were harvested ripe and fermented with 50% whole berries to enhance the fruit characteristics in the flavor profile. This results in a fruit-forward wine with bright cherry, plum, and raspberry aromas, rounded out with soft tannins. White pepper, clove, and cedar greet you on the nose. It’s a lovely example of Sonoma County Zinfandel and we hope you enjoy it for all of life’s special moments.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Fruit forward with bright cherry, plum, and raspberry aromas. Aging in tight grain oak adds on enticing bouquet of white pepper, clove, pine needle, cedar, caramel, and nutmeg. On the palate, our Zinfandel is luscious and full-bodied with soft tannin and rich berry, cherry, and plum flavors.
Vineyard Notes
The Trestle Glen Vineyard is grown using sustainable farming practices. The vineyard is located near Glen Ellen in Sonoma Valley between the Mayacamas Mountains and Sonoma Mountain. The unique microclimate, featuring underground natural hot springs and gentle ocean breeze help prevent frost in late winter and early spring. In summer and fall, warm days tempered by gentle afternoon winds off Sonoma Mountain and cool nights provide an ideal growing environment for Zinfandel. Our vineyard has sparse gravely volcanic soil that ensure low vigor, low yield, and small concentrated berries and is often draped in morning dew and is home to fox, heron, and Bernie the cat. Vineyards: Block 13 Avg. Yield: 3.0 tons per acre Clones: St. George Avg. Age: 20 years old
Winemaker Notes
Our estate Zinfandel is crop thinned and nurtured to achieve high intensity Zinfandel aromas and flavors. Harvested ripe fermented with 50% whole berries to enhance fruit character. Grapes are cold soaked 48 hours before fermentation. This wine undergoes malo-lactic fermentation to add complexity and soften tannins. Aged for 18 months in new and one year old French and American oak. Minimal processing ensures the rich character of our Trestle Glen Vineyard.
