About

To Our Faithful Trestle Glen Vineyards Customers,

As we head into the holiday weekend, I wanted to reach out with some exciting news.

First, we want to say thank you for supporting Trestle Glen Vineyards under the care and direction of Bruce Cohn. Bruce created a truly intimate, exceptional wine cultivated from a small plot of vineyards in the heart of Sonoma County.

Like you, we were fans of the wine produced from this sliver of land, so when we learned that Bruce was looking to transition ownership, we were thrilled. As of November 12, 2021, my family and I have officially assumed ownership of Trestle Glen Vineyards. It is truly a labor of love for all of us, and we are looking forward to what lies ahead.

Tom Montgomery has been the winemaker here at Trestle Glen since its inception, and he will be staying on with us to ensure the tradition of excellence.  As many of you know, Tom brings more than 25 years of wine making experience in Napa and Sonoma Valleys, including over 20 years producing wines with the grapes grown here at Trestle Glen. The wines from the Trestle Glen Vineyard that Tom produced in collaboration with Bruce have received 96 and 97 points from Anthony Blue of Tasting Panel Magazine. We look forward to continuing this tradition of creating high-quality, award-winning wines with Tom.

As we commence our first year of ownership, we’d like to share with you a part of our vision for the future.  We will be expanding the portfolio of wines at Trestle Glen Vineyards; this holiday weekend, we are releasing the first estate-grown bottle of Zinfandel.  Furthermore, we will be introducing a Hillside Reserve blend of our exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon. We are working with Tom to create our first white wine, having sourced exceptional Chardonnay grapes from a local vineyard in Carneros. In the spring, we will be replanting portions of the vineyard to new varietals.

These are just some of our plans to invest in the long-term success of Trestle Glen Vineyards and the quality of our wines.  It is our mission to cultivate Trestle Glen Vineyards as a winery renowned for its exceptional wines, and we are thrilled to be entrusted with its stewardship.

We look forward to having you join us on this journey.

With optimism and good wine,

Brian Wheeler & Family

Small Vineyard. Big Heart. High Quality Wines.

Focusing on the wine

The first vintage pulled from the vineyard and produced by Bruce Cohn in partnership with winemaker Tom Montgomery received the highest rating of their careers. The wine received a 96 and 97 from Anthony Dias Blue and Tasting Panel Magazine. Nestled in Glen Ellen among some of the highest-rated vineyards in the valley, the Wheeler Family continues Bruce's tradition of producing phenomenal wines and works tirelessly to grow the winery and its offerings.

Boutique Small Lot Production

Making just 800 cases versus 85,000 has allowed the winery to focus their attention on high-end, small-lot production cultivating the best quality from the grapes they grow.

We create exceptional wine with great care. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Exquisite Sonoma Valley Grapes

Trestle Glen Vineyards encompasses 21 acres of the best of the Olive Hill Vineyard. Located in the southern portion of Sonoma County, this region is nestled between the Sonoma Mountain and Mayacamas Mountain ranges. Sonoma Valley enjoys cool mornings provided by the coastal influences, yet clear skies and warm afternoons provided by the mountains, ideal growing conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Trestle Glen’s sustainably farmed grapes are highly sought after and known to produce exceptionally high-quality wines.

Family Owned Winery

After visiting and falling in love with the vineyard during a wine country getaway at the property, The Wheeler family jumped at the opportunity to buy Trestle Glen Vineyards from Bruce Cohn in 2021

Fine wine enthusiasts for years, it had always been a dream of the family to own something small, where they could produce distinctive and delicious wine through the years. While the family is still learning the many nuances of owning a vineyard and winery, they’re in love with the process, and see tremendous opportunity to enhance both the property and the distinction of wines produced at Trestle Glen.

They hope you’ll support them as they step into this next adventure of life, and look forward to sharing their take on Sonoma Valley wines.
